Anecdotes of the Revolution, originally published in 1844, is a compilation of various anecdotes from various historical sources. They were gathered together by Alexander Blake. It is a sequence of many 'snapshots' of the American revolution.
There are over 150 anecdotes gathered from many original sources.

You get gory first hand details of battles, witty repartee at the court of King George III, the inception and execution of espionage, and much more. You get closer to the American Revolution than you can with big landmark histories and panoramic surveys of the period.

This is a new edition of the public domain book that was originally published in 1844.
This new edition includes:

  • A new Foreword written by the publisher.

  • Several footnotes illuminating the references made by the author.

  • New format, layout, typesetting.

  • A few maps and reproductions of original artwork.

Bulkington Book's mission is to build a bridge into the past, before film, television, copyright, and internet swallowed up the world. We found this story worthy of revival, and we hope you find it worth your while.
