What we collect and why.

Bulkington Books is a small, independent publisher. We collect the minimum data needed to run this site and nothing more.

Email addresses. If you sign up via the email capture popup or create an account, we store your email address in our database (hosted on Supabase). We use it to send transactional messages (magic link sign-in) and, only with your explicit consent, occasional updates about new titles. We do not sell, rent, or share your email with third parties.

Analytics. We use PostHog to understand how the site is used — which pages are visited, how readers navigate. PostHog is proxied through our own domain so no data goes to third-party ad networks. We do not run retargeting, behavioral advertising, or cross-site tracking of any kind.

Cookies and local storage. We use browser local storage to remember your theme preference, your download count (for the metered access gate), and whether you have dismissed the welcome popup. If you sign in, Supabase sets a session cookie. We do not use tracking cookies.

Affiliate links.Buy links on book pages are Amazon and IngramSpark affiliate links. Clicking them sets a cookie on the vendor’s site, not ours. We earn a small commission at no cost to you.

Your rights. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us. We will remove your email, bookmarks, and download history.
